When contacted by the owner of this listed building to assist in providing natural daylight to a long corridor located at the rear of the building High Level Glazing were able to provide a number of options for the client to consider.
Some of the options included: Mono Pitched Rooflights, Barrel Vaulted Rooflights and Dual Pitched Rooflights, however the client finally settled on a Barrel Vault option as this provided a different aesthetic to the flat ceiling adjacent.
The project included the design, manufacture and installation of 3 No. Barrel Vaulted Rooflights along the length of the rear end of the listed building. Each rooflight was supplied in 3 glass panes to allow easy manual installation of the glass, however the glass to glass joints where produced in a frameless design thus maximising the natural daylight entering the space.
